“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:21
We live in a world that is changing very rapidly. Science, technology and general human progress are fundamentally reshaping society in ways that are both unpredictable and exciting, but also sometimes alarming.
The challenges of the postmodern and modern eras to the Bible and its claims on how we should live are growing stronger by the day. At the same time many young people are not being addressed from the Bible in terms that they can relate to today. The Bible needs not only be contemporarily expressed, but contemporarily applied to their life situations and questions.
Furthermore, new and newly expressed ethical systems are clouding up the picture of truth, and certain values and behaviours are often made to appear morally acceptable when they really don’t square up to critical examination in light of scripture.
This website aims to provide just such a critical examination of the ethics, customs, philosophies and theologies of our day, and not only do so on a theoretical level, but on a practical one. The aim is to provide tools for a more intelligent approach to faith and religion in a sea of popular confusion and error.
